Day Centres

Day Centres.

Our Day Centre offers older people the opportunity to socialise, make friends and participate in fun activities in a nurturing and inclusive environment. We try our hand at a range of activities; chair yoga, singing, movement to music, arts & crafts, cooking, reminiscence and much more! On national holidays and religious festivals we make a day of it and explore our different cultures and celebrate our diversity. When it’s warm and sunny, we do a spot of gardening and soak up the sun in the Elders Voice garden.

“The activities keep Mum engaged & happy, and she’s built some really lovely friendships along the way.” – Daughter of Day Centre client

Respite for Carers.

The Elders Voice Day Centre also provides much needed respite for carers and we guarantee your loved one will be in safe hands whilst you are able to focus on your day job, work through your to-do list or enjoy some ‘me time’. The Centre is run by a small team of passionate, dedicated and caring staff with over 70 years of experience between them, in mental health and social care.

“Elders Voice has been a lifesaver for both myself and my husband. I get time for myself and he has fun & the company of others.” – Wife of Day Centre client

Eligibility, Open Hours & Cost.

The Day Centre is able to support individuals living with dementia or a long-term health condition, with low to medium social care needs. Prospective clients will initially be assessed over the phone and then invited to a free trial session to see whether the Day Centre meets their needs.

The Day Centre is currently open on Mondays from 12.30pm-4pm, Tuesdays from 11.30am-3pm and Thursdays from 12.30pm-4pm. We do not serve lunch but refreshments are provided throughout the day. Clients are welcome to bring their own packed lunches and staff are happy to help prepare and heat through if required.

A session costs £50 and we offer placements to older people living within a commutable distance to the Centre; this includes residents from other boroughs. We also support individuals who have been assessed by Brent Adult Social Care and deemed eligible to access our services through a Brent-funded placement.

For more information or to arrange an assessment, please contact the office on: 020 8206 7502 or email: info@eldersvoice.org.uk.
