Change is afoot. Some of our activities are returning to the centre. Hoorah! After sixteen long months we can finally enjoy some face-to-face contact. Take a look at the menu below and if any of the activities pique your interest, please contact Bridget Keating, Wellbeing Administrator on 020 8206 7503 or email: bridgetk@eldersvoice.org.uk. Don’t see anything you fancy? Tell us what kind of activities you would like to take part in.

Afternoon Tea & Singalong – Mondays at 2pm-3pm
Join us on Mondays for a friendly catch-up over a cup of tea and a hearty sing song – we’ll be singing old favourites like ‘Molly Malone’ and ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ – so start warming up your vocal chords! You can also expect to enjoy the occasional quiz and guest speaker. Free to attend. Online only.

Reading Friends – Tuesday at 11am-11.45am
Reading Friends Online Café is a place where friends meet to read things that please us; poems, recipes or thought-provoking quotes. We look at pictures too, share stories and see where the conversation takes us. So put the kettle on, treat yourself to a slice of cake and pull up a pew – chit chat & tall tales welcome! Free to attend. Online only.

Zumba Gold – Wednesdays at 11am-12pm
Zumba Gold is a Latin dance & aerobics class. Join today and increase your muscle strength, alleviate stress, make new friends and have fun! This class is available online for £3.00 per session or onsite for £4.00 per session.

Bolder not Older is a dance class for over-65s in Brent, that explores different genres of dance such as flamenco or jazz. The class can be danced seated in a chair or standing, and is the perfect way to get fit whilst having fun!
Delivered by DanceWest. Free to attend. Onsite only. Returning to the centre from September.

Lend an Ear (Telephone Befriending) – NOW CLOSED
At the start of the pandemic, Elders Voice set-up a temporary helpline called Lend an Ear, that aimed to provide older people with information & advice, support with shopping and telephone companionship. As our onsite activities begin to reopen and the Wellbeing Team are needed back at base, we have made the decision to close the helpline. For telephone befriending referrals please contact Re-engage, a charity that provides social connections on: 0800 716543.
