Activities

Activities.

Elders Voice endeavour to provide a range of activities to over-55s living in Brent, who want to meet new people, get fit or learn a new skill. Don’t see anything you fancy? Tell us what kind of activities you would like to take part in!

Singing Group.

Mondays at 11am-12pm / over-55s *starts Monday 19th January 2026*
At
Singing Group we learn to sing the pop songs we love by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke and The Beatles. The group is led by a singing teacher/pianist, who helps arrange our voices and bring out the best in us. This is a relaxed group, so no experience is needed, just a love of singing! As well as being fun, singing has many health benefits such as helping strengthen the immune system, improving lung function & releasing feel-good hormones in the body. This group is free to attend but donations are welcome to help cover our costs.

Art Club

Mondays at 1.30pm-2.30pm / over-55s *starts Monday 19th January 2026*
At Art Club we explore our creative side and try our hand at different art forms such as collage, stencilling & sculpture. The club is led by a local artist, who inspires us with ideas and gives us confidence to get stuck in! This is not a class, just an opportunity to be creative and try something new with friends. Making art can help improve cognitive functions like memory and focus, and reduce stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol, the stress hormone. This club is £2.00 per session.

Zumba Gold is a Latin dance & aerobics class which combines various dance moves including those from salsa, samba, mambo, cha cha and more, all to the sound of fabulously upbeat, Latin dance music. Zumba Gold was especially designed with older people in mind and is an excellent way to increase your muscle strength, improve your balance & flexibility and alleviate stress. It’s also really fun (we’ve yet to meet someone who hasn’t smiled or laughed at least once in a session!) and a great place to meet new people. This class is £4.00 per session.
