Elders Voice is a forward thinking and caring organisation based in the London Borough of Brent, committed to improving the lives of older people. We are fortunate to have a small team of volunteers who support us in delivering our services but there is much work to be done, and we are always on the look out for more! Volunteering at Elders Voice is a great opportunity for someone looking to increase their confidence, gain experience in the charity sector, spend time with others or make a difference in the community. Check out our volunteering opportunities below.
We are looking for Trustees with experience in HR & Employment Law to join our Board of Trustees. If you would like to use your skills and experience at Board level to help us with our work with older people in Brent, we would love to hear from you! Trustees are expected to attend up to 10 meetings a year plus an Annual General Meeting, contribute advice & support on an ad hoc basis and attend events. The Board currently meets every 3-6 weeks on Wednesdays at 5pm-6.30pm via the Zoom app.
We are looking for Volunteer Gardeners to help maintain our front and back gardens. This will include planting, pruning, weeding and watering. Volunteer Gardeners would ideally be able to commit to two hours a week.
