Elders Voice are participating in the warm spaces scheme and will be providing a free, warm space for older people in Brent over the winter months. There will be free activities on offer such as one-pot cooking and dancing, and information sessions around energy efficiency and mental wellbeing. Participants will be invited to an assessment with the Handyperson Service; to find out whether they could benefit from adaptations in their home, and with the Floating Support Service; to make sure they are getting all the benefits they are entitled to.
The Warm Space is open to people of pension age who are struggling with their bills & worried about keeping warm over winter; not currently receiving support from the Wellbeing Team; and live in the Kensal Green/Harlesden/Queens Park area.
The space is open on Thursdays from 9.30am-4.30pm and will be running until the end of March 2023.
Individuals can be referred by a social care or healthcare professional or they can refer themselves. To make a referral please call the Wellbeing Administrator on: 020 8206 7503 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
