Day Centres for Older People
Elders Voice runs three day centres in Kensal Green for older people and older people with dementia. The day centres are open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-3pm and offer a warm and welcoming environment in which older people can take part in a variety of activities and enjoy a change of scenery. Activities include: yoga, movement to music, arts & crafts and quizzes & games. The day centres not only provide members with the opportunity to socialise but also carers with a much needed break and chance to recharge their batteries.
Our day centres can support individuals who have been FACS (Fair Access to Care Services) assessed by Brent Adult Social Care as being in substantial or critical need, and thus eligible to avail themselves of our services.
We also offer self-funded placements to older people who have not been deemed eligible through Adult Social Care, or who are happy to pay without being assessed. The price of a self-funded placement starts from £45.00 per day and lunch can be provided for an additional £6, however members are welcome to bring their own food. We can also provide transport for £5.00 each way.
