Elders Voice is a forward thinking and caring organisation based in the London Borough of Brent, committed to improving the lives of older people. We are fortunate to have a small team of volunteers who support us in delivering our services but there is much work to be done, and we are always on the look out for more! Volunteering at Elders Voice is a great opportunity for someone looking to increase their confidence, gain experience in the charity sector, spend time with others or make a difference in the community. Check out our volunteering opportunities below.

Trustees

We are looking for individuals with experience in marketing, fundraising, HR and employment law however, if you have skills and experience in other areas that you would like to use at Board level, then we would love to hear from you!

Board members typically support charities by providing strategic direction; setting overall policy; defining goals & setting targets; evaluating performance; ensuring the charity’s effective and efficient administration; and ensuring financial stability.

We want to have a wide range of people on the Board and seek to be representative of the diverse population of Brent. There is no need to have Trustee experience to apply although an interest in older people is necessary. Board members are expected to attend up to ten meetings a year plus an Annual General Meeting; contribute advice & support on an ad hoc basis; and attend events. The Board currently meets every six weeks on Wednesdays from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.
