Elders Voice is a charity supporting older people in the London Borough of Brent. We run three Day Centres a week for older people and older people with dementia. The Day Centres offer a warm and welcoming environment in which older people can take part in a variety of activities and enjoy a change of scenery. We are looking for a genuine and kind, Freelance Minibus Driver to drive our clients to our Day Centre in the morning and drop them home in the afternoon.
Hours: 15 hours per week; morning shift 9am-11.30am / afternoon shift 3.30-5.30/6pm Days: Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays Salary: £20 per hour (responsible for own taxes & NI) Reporting to: Wellbeing Manager

IT Tutor for Beginners Computer Class
Elders Voice is looking for an experienced IT Tutor to deliver a weekly, beginners computer class to older people in Brent.
Elders Voice have secured funding to deliver a new project called ‘Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies’ which includes a free, weekly computer class. The aim of the class is to promote social inclusion in the community, provide older people with the opportunity to learn & be mentally stimulated and demystify the myth of technology being difficult to use.
Hours: 1 hour per week (Wednesdays, 1pm-2pm, starting 8th January 2020) Salary: £35 per hour Reporting to: Operations Director
Responsibilities
Teach participants basic computer skills; how to set-up an email account and send & receive emails and how to browse the web & shop online safely
Improve participants’ overall confidence when using information technology
Design a 12 week syllabus in advance of the class beginning
Design simple, step-by-step handouts that participants can use as a guide
Manage 2-3 volunteers
