From 1st September 2017, Elders Voice will be running the Floating Support / Handyperson Service
The Floating Support component of this Service will help you with benefit entitlements , housing
repairs, moving home, debt management, home safety and security, enjoying an active social life and
access other services and support you when necessary. Our project workers will work
with you on agreeing a support plan which will best suit your needs and aspirations.

The Accident Prevention Handyperson component of this Service provides practical support to older
people enabling them to live independently and safely at home. We can install smoke alarms, grab rails and other adaptations, locks, bolts, peepholes, curtain rails, blinds and help change light
bulbs. We offer a variety of other jobs including small carpentry and plumbing.
Clients will pay for materials used and labour charges are means tested. The work is carried out by vetted handypersons at your convenience.
